What is a clinical social worker?

By | January 22, 2020

A clinical social worker provides individual, family or group clinical social work services such as psychotherapy, counseling, and other forms of therapy.

Clinical social workers are often involved in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.

Clinical social workers often work in hospitals, mental health agencies, and private practices.

Social workers who provide these services are required to be licensed or certified at the clinical level in their state of practice.
